Ru Wikmann - The Sculptor - London Personal Trainer

Fully Focused

Jun 3, 2014  |  Category: Mindset

Hope you are feeling great, and dominating this week! I’m still getting back into the swing of things from last weekend, and what a weekend it has been…

I received great feedback from a stand-up comedy show, which I did for the first time in my life just to test myself and break a comfort zone. Then I was competing at WBFF London fitness model show the next day, achieved a Top 5 result, and got a medal for it. Even though I seldom give myself a pat on the back due to the high standards I've set, I guess it is pretty cool after all :)

I'm glad that the judges recognised my potential, and the key thing for me has always been PROGRESS. If I see progress, I'm happy. Now it's time chill out, have some fun and reward myself for my efforts and commitment, gather feedback thoroughly, reflect, and then refocus and make some plans. One thing is for sure - I'm more motivated than ever.

Lately I’ve been reading this amazing book “Black Hole Focus” by Isaiah Hankel. It’s about harnessing your mental energy and focusing it as a laser in order to align your life around your chosen path. Imagine if your purpose in life was as powerful as a black hole. Nothing escapes it – not even light. This is the kind of focus I’ve developed towards my goal of becoming a WBFF Pro Fitness Model, and sooner or later I will fulfill my ambition.

Big thanks to everyone who has supported me during my prep, especially family and friends for showing love and understanding. Also, thanks to all my clients and business associates for being patient with me if I didn’t always bring the usual energy while I was training 20+ hours per week. Thanks to fans, followers and everyone who has shown interest. A very special thanks to my sponsor Optimum Nutrition for all the support and trust I have received, and thanks to WBFF for putting on another great show.

The only thing I regret is having that Chocolate Sundae after destroying an Apple Crumble and Raspberry Cheesecake. Honestly, the food coma is just not worth it, I thought I would have learned by now.
